Kosair Kids ® Night at the Zoo aims to provide a safe, stress-free trick or treating for special needs kids in our community.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (October 18, 2018) – Kosair Charities helped make trick or treating possible for children with special needs and their families on Wednesday night. Over 2,100 attendees enjoyed candy booths, character photos, glow sticks, a dance party, and more during the event.
“This is an event like no other,” said Keith Inman, President of Kosair Charities. “The children and families inspire me on a daily basis and it is incredible to help them celebrate Halloween in a comfortable way.”
Kosair Kids ® Night at the Zoo and the collaboration between Kosair Charities and the Louisville Zoo began 13 years ago. It is a private event is made possible by both Kosair Charities as well as funds donated on Give for Good Louisville. Held during “The World’s Largest Halloween Party!” at the Zoo, attendance is limited at this event to ensure a spacious and safe environment so kids and families escape their challenges for a stress-free Halloween experience like no other.
“We are honored to have partnered with Kosair Charities for over a decade to make this event possible and share both the Zoo and a unique trick or treat experience,” said Zoo Director, John Walczak. “The smiles on the kid’s faces are priceless.”
The event was held on Wed., Oct. 17 from 6 – 8 p.m. at The Louisville Zoo.
