Charity Co-ed Softball Tournament

8 a.m.
This is a co-ed tournament in honor of Kosair Charities. There is a maximum of eight teams. All teams should be 5-5, or you can EH a M & F to make 6-6. There is a three home run limit, but can buy more for $5 each (before the game begins). Teams must supply their own balls for games. Balls should be .44 core and 375 lbs compression. Size should be, Male-12” & Female-11”. All games will be played at Dawley Park. Games will start at 8 a.m., weather permitting.
Team Registration will be taken until Sunday, July 25 at 5 p.m. OR when eight teams have registered. Please contact the tournament director, Andrea Palmer, to enter your team.
Winning Team: 1st place trophy and T-shirts
Runner Up: 2nd place trophy
Door prizes: Photo Session with Angela Kuwaye Photography, Restaurant Gift Cards, Ball Gloves and Batting Gloves

The 16th Annual UPS/Kosair Charities Golf Benefit will bring more than 40 teams to Quail Chase Golf Club on Saturday, September 25, to raise funds for Kosair Kids. Last year, this event raised more than $57,600.
Join the fun and register your team today. The $340 per four-person team or $85 per individual registration fee includes 18 holes of golf, golf cart rental, lunch and an exclusive event golf shirt, a sleeve of golf balls and a hat.
Registration and driving range open at 7 a.m., with “King of Clubs” demonstration by Trick Shot Artist Buddy Demling to follow at 7:45. The tournament begins with tee off at 8 a.m. Lunch and the awards presentation start at 1 p.m.

The 4th Annual Kosair Charities Cole’s Classic Pro-Am Golf Tournament, Silent Auction and Dinner Reception will be held at Audubon Country Club on Monday, October 4, 2010, to raise money for Kosair Kids. Last year’s tournament raised over $60,000.
Registration begins at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at noon. Dinner, a large silent auction and awards will start at 5 p.m.

Express Technology grand opening celebration to benefit Kosair Charities

Express Technology, Louisville’s premier retail technology center, today announced it will partner with Kosair Charities to celebrate its Grand Opening on Friday, October 30 from 4 to 9 p.m. A ribbon cutting and “plug in” ceremony will take place at 4 p.m., and an open house will immediately follow which will include drawings for giveaways, hors d’oeurves, and a chance for guests to view and test desktops, laptops, gaming systems, and more. Guests will also get a sneak peak of an unbelievable site – a fully functioning computer submerged in liquid. Kosair Charities will give away a 1GB jump drive to every child under age 12 that attends. In addition, a percentage of every Express Technology computer sold throughout the weekend will go towards Kosair Charities.
Representatives from the St. Matthews Business Association, the Lyndon Area Business Association, the North East Louisville Business Association, and other business and community
leaders will gather at the new store, located in the Shelbyville Road Plaza, to officially welcome their new neighbor into the St. Matthews community.
