Bears on Patrol

Bears on Patrol is a cooperative effort between Kosair Charities and local law enforcement agencies to provide patrol cars with teddy bears and other stuffed animals. The stuffed animals are used by officers throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana to comfort young children exposed to traumatic situations.
Thanks to the generosity of caring individuals, more than 120,000 bears have been distributed.
The Bears on Patrol program is another way Kosair Charities demonstrates its concern for the children of Kentucky and Southern Indiana. For over 80 years, Kosair Charities has helped children receive the vital medical care they need when their family cannot afford it.
You can make a gift to celebrate a child’s birthday or other event and, in doing so, help another child who needs a fuzzy friend when their world is falling apart. Individuals wanting to donate bears to the Bears on Patrol program can drop them off at the Kosair Charities.
