Kosair Charities recently was honored for their partnership with Shriners Hospital for children in Lexington, Kentucky.

In all, Kosair Charities has provided more than $2.4 million to the hospital in support of various programs. This year, the organization contributed more than $327,500 in funding for the Kosair Charities lecture program which brings educational speakers to the hospital to enrich staff and researchers. Funding also supported a three-year clinical translation project that helps apply the results of recent research to actual patient care. Plus, therapy protocols, cerebral palsy and clubfoot research was funded with this year’s grant.

According to H. I. Stroth, Jr., Emeritus Member of the Board of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Board of Trustees, the plaque represented Kosair Charities ongoing commitment to the hospital. “We depend on their support year after year and are glad to have them as a partner in the wonderful research and new developments taking place in Lexington,” he said.

Welcome to the new Kosair.org

July 14, 2009

Kosair Charities has unveiled a new Web site design that makes connecting with the organization even easier.

The site offers a brightly colored design featuring the Kosair Charities kite and photos of Kosair Kids. Information about giving opportunities — including an interactive planned giving tool — is also offered at Kosair.org. Plus, donations can be given online more easily and quickly through the secure site.

“We depend on donors and volunteers to support our mission of caring for the medical needs of children. It only makes sense that our Web site should offer an easy and attractive way for them to learn about us, connect with us and make a contribution,” said Kosair Charities President Randy Coe.
